Can HR technology show a big change in an organization?

Across the globe, people in organizations are not sure whether to utilize resources for HR technology and innovation because it is seen as an additional and unnecessary cost which is not needed for an organization.

The right type of HR tool used, will become an advantage to the organization as it will consider and allocate a suitable solution for the necessary needs. This will ensure that workforce management can be optimized, bring an increase in efficiency and at the same time assist managers to make decisions fairly. (Teotia, S. (2022))

Teotia, S. (2022) claimed that a report recently published had mentioned that more than 55 % of the recruitment to retirement tasks had been performed by the human resource and will be automated in the coming years.

What can software of HR Technology do?

There are software that can track activities and productivity in order to improve the processes in the company. Software such as association management software will help center all the work in a department to save time and money. Tasks are accomplished in a single platform that also allows to organize and plan work electronically without any interruptions. As a result, the management using these types of software will be more efficient and cost-effective. Moreover, using automation tools will decrease the usage of paper that must be entered by staff. (Martin, D. (2021)).

Where can we apply such HR technologies in the workplace?

Few examples of how technology is applied in human resource management are employee management works with assisting employees to obtain their full potential and also to achieve company objectives. Employee engagement is another example where it is increasingly being used in performance management which employs many strategies to keep employees concerned in their work. Performance management is when employees are being monitored to check their job performance. This will significantly improve productivity and at the same time employee retention. (Martin, D. (2021))

Likewise, there are many other examples where HR technology, brings a new change to the organization that will enhance performance of employees and also productivity in a company.

Below shows the functions that HR technology can help in an organization.

What are the most expected HR technology trends this year?

Lavri, O. (2023) mentioned in her web article that, HR managers have the ability to now change their work habits and as well enhance their skills due to the growth and diversities in the workforce that comes through the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI)  and machine learning (ML). AI and ML will help HR managers to decrease the load of work and also enhance the productivity of the business.

In a recent survey conducted by Zuech, T. (2023), nearly 46 % of HR leaders have reported that HR technology is the top priority out of the first four HR investment areas. The above graph illustrates on the areas of HR investments that must be considered in the future.

To conclude, HR technology trends are likely to include artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML) to automate tasks, such as evaluating employee performance. Further, there can be a greater focus on developing mobile- friendly HR applications to accommodate more remote workforce.

  11. A good attempt should be made to combine HRM with technology. The HR division of a corporation may be greatly impacted by technological advancement. It gives the business the chance to enhance its internal operations, core competencies, target markets, and organizational structure as a whole. Excellent! The strategic goals of the organization should be the major emphasis of the human resources department.
